VCRTA member Helen Joseph was awarded the Vigo County 2022 Excellence in Education award by the Vigo County Education Foundation for her work as a life long educator, volunteer, and mentor. She has also supported and become an invaluable member of the Vigo County Retired Teachers Association.

In attendance to recognize her achievement were daughter, VCRTA President and 2014 Excellence In Education Award Recipient Brenda Walls, and VCRTA Secretary and 2021 Excellence In Education Award Recipient Ann Bartley.
